MEMBER TOOLS Walk Promotional Flyer with Donation Form and Receipt Walk Registration Form NASMM Walk Participation Instructions Sample Press Release PROJECT OVERVIEW The National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM) plans to conduct a service project during the NASMM 2009 Annual Conference. The 2009 Service Project, "The Walk to Move Forward," to raise money for the Gulf States Association of Homes and Services for the Aging's (Gulf States AHSA) Hurricane Relief Fund. The Gulf States AHSA represents non profit senior living communities and nursing homes throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Over 90% of their membership suffered major damage and resident displacement by Hurricanes Katrina, Gustav and Ike. The funds raised by this walk will be donated to the Gulf States AHSA's Hurricane Relief Fund to help them meet the basic needs of older adults and their caregivers who are still recovering from the devastation. With the rash of violent storms in the fall of 2008, the need to raise money for the Gulf States AHSA has dramatically increased. Recovery efforts from Hurricane Katrina were not yet complete when this fall's hurricanes hit. Cash is critical in times of disaster as it will allow non-profit organizations to purchase what is needed for disaster victims. Please consider supporting this very important project. Your donations will benefit non-profit senior living communities and nursing homes in Louisiana and Mississippi who desperately need our help. NASMM will compile all donated funds and issue a check to the Gulf States AHSA.
